“And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they
did not love their lives to the death.” (Rev. 12:11)
did not love their lives to the death.” (Rev. 12:11)
At Compassion Connection, everything we do is focused on Jesus Christ the Lamb of God - the
wonderful blood of the lamb, the pure precious blood. We know what the blood is capable of
and that is why we zero in on it! We don’t focus on the addiction or the particular dysfunction.
No, we focus on the solution! But what is it that gives the blood such life-transforming power
- the very power that sets the captive free? (Isaiah 53:7) tells us plainly, “He was oppressed
and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and
so a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.” Jesus Christ went to
the cross because He was a lamb. He did not become a lamb because of the cross! His lamb-
like disposition, his lamb-like character, the essence of the lamb permeated mount Moriah that
unforgettable day on Calvary.
The men who both attend weekly meetings and those who are in our 90-day program are
pointed in the direction of the Lamb. Even as I write this, fresh on the heels of our meeting last
night, all I can envision is the Lamb of God. Thank God for the Lamb of God. “Behold! The
Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) It is through the blood of the
lamb that we continue to see men’s lives transformed. As the need out there is great, we will
move forward to minister to those who come in through our doors. We are now starting our third
week of the 90-day session and we will take in men up until six weeks in.
We are so thankful to Bob and Jeanine Solum our in-house directors. They are doing a fantastic
job. Also Tom Terrill, our Washburn County chaplain, and our volunteers! A special thank you
to Steve Johnson and Stan Sandler, who are truly a blessing! Thank you all for your faithful
support, as I have said before: without you, this ministry would not be possible.
May God pour out His richest blessings upon you.
